Lost a tab

in General Posts: 685

My Main tab went away in a program I was working on. Not the sort of thing you could do by accident, but it's gone.

Ideas what might have happened?

Thanks!

I don’t think you can delete the Main tab. You get a message like this if you try.

Main:8: 'Main' tab can not be deleted
    stack traceback:
        [C]: in function 'saveProjectTab'
        Main:8: in function 'setup'

@RonJeffries - how many tabs did you have in your project? Did the tab disappear or just the code? Have you accidentally renamed it by pasting in the clipboard contents?

Tried to delete in latest Codea version and iOS but unable to effect that, only option on the menu for main is ‘copy’.

had two, tests and main, plus ref to codeaunit. it was my new space invaders beginning, so i recovered it from the zip in the article, since i can't hook it up to code management yet.

@RonJeffries If the above reply was for me, then what I meant was that you can’t get rid of it by mistake. It must be the bug that seems to have been around for a while now since several users have mentioned it. I haven’t seen it, but then I don’t write anything large enough to require several tabs.
